Hilton Nanjing Niushoushan

The supervised kids' play area was a real help for us, since someone was always there and we felt the children were safe. We also got connecting rooms, which gave our family plenty of space and made things much easier. My husband and I were back in my hometown for a holiday with our two kids, who don't speak Chinese, so a comfortable, convenient stay mattered a lot. The club lounge isn't huge, but it has what you need, and I like staying in club access or executive rooms. The whole experience felt comfortable and well considered. The lobby bar's Chinese food was a nice surprise, with authentic dishes and good quality. There was live music on Saturday night, too. I picked this new, modern hotel because of its good reviews, and it lived up to them. The design and furnishings feel stylish and quite luxurious for the price. For a four-star place, I'd put it at the top end of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand. It was fantastic value. My photos show how good it is! This hotel was absolutely amazing.

The location is the main compromise here. Hilton Nanjing Niushoushan is near Niushoushan Scenic Area, well outside central Nanjing, so downtown attractions and business districts take a longer drive. The peaceful surroundings are lovely, but that distance can be inconvenient if you plan to go into the city often. Inside, the resort feel is clear from the moment you enter: the lobby and public areas are expansive, elegant, quiet, and polished. My suite had far more room than a typical city hotel, with a thoughtful layout and space to relax, work, and just spread out. It would be especially comfortable for a longer stay. The staff were warm and attentive throughout, from check-in to transport arrangements and local suggestions. The hospitality felt both genuine and polished. For the price, the hotel offers a lot of comfort, space, and a relaxing resort atmosphere if being outside the center works for you.

The hotel itself was quite nice, but our pool experience left a lot to be desired.
