Set back from the old town's main shopping street, this lovely boutique hotel feels peaceful. The care in the finishes and the calm surroundings are what make it stand out.

The rainy courtyard, seen through the wooden floor-to-ceiling windows, was one of my favorite parts. I was in Nanjing to see my girlfriend, and a friend had arranged the stay for me. The place felt like a quiet little oasis in the busy city, with an elegant atmosphere. My room was simply furnished, mostly in wood, and everything had a strong cultural character. I loved this guesthouse.
