Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel - Nanjing, Hundred lakes

Getting around was easy, with a subway station nearby, and there's a large mall close by for food and shopping. Inside, the design and overall atmosphere feel peaceful and look lovely. My room was very roomy and comfortable. Small touches such as pillow mist and a heated towel rack made a noticeable difference.

We had a really restful two-night stay, and the massage at the wellness center made it even better. The shared spaces have charming architecture and decor, with lots of zen motifs. Breakfast was nice, and our housekeeper was fantastic, bringing the things we actually needed, like tissues and plenty of water. The hotel is somewhat far from the main attractions. Metro line 1 gets you to Xuanwu Lake and the Xin Jie Kou area, and we took taxis to the other places.

The restaurant food was delicious, and the dinner buffet was especially good value. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and being close to a big shopping mall and subway station was handy. Smoking is allowed everywhere, though, and it was particularly noticeable in the elevator.

Check-in was a mess. I arrived at 5 pm and still couldn't get settled smoothly, which left a really bad impression of the staff's service. The rooms themselves are new, with plenty of types to choose from, and they're mostly wood. The lobby feels calming, and they provide a sleep spray.
