The room felt clean and not at all old, perhaps because it had been renovated. The toilet and shower were in separate spaces. One small annoyance was the glass box I mistook for a refrigerator, which was actually just a heat-retaining device. The location is handy for Confucius Temple Pedestrian Street and Da Zhaobi, both a short walk away. There's a mall across from the hotel with lots of restaurants and cafes, and Dashiba Street is also close by. The neon lights look lovely at night, though this is Nanjing's busiest shopping area and traffic on Laiyan Road gets congested in the evening. The hotel staff were very kind and looked after us well.
