City Comfort Inn

I liked having a laundry room and dryer, and there was even someone to hang clothes out to dry. The hotel is also right in the city center, so getting around is easy. Thanks for that. The morning exercises at Xinghu Elementary School just below were really noisy, though, and I couldn't sleep in. I'm giving it three stars because getting there with luggage was a hassle: taxis aren't allowed into the hotel parking lot, so I had to push my heavy bags a long way to reception. There were no doormen, and nobody helped get my luggage to the room. It doesn't feel very international. Apparently they haven't paid any rent, which is why taxis aren't allowed in. It makes me think the hotel may not last long.

For the low price, I thought the stay was pretty good. The room was spacious, and even with the shower and toilet together, it had what you needed. The double bed was comfortable enough for two without us disturbing each other. Some spots on the sofa and shower floor were still visible. They looked like stains that couldn't be removed, though, so it seemed the place had been cleaned, and that was acceptable. A lot of things were set up to save energy. The room went dark 3-5 seconds after I took out the key card, and there was no air conditioning in the public areas. At that price, I could live with it.

The rooms were clean, and the service was polite and good. It's on the main road, near the MRT and bus stops.
