The room was clean. Good stay.

The Executive Lounge felt quite ordinary. Afternoon tea was simple, and breakfast was basic and a little disappointing. The room itself was a decent size, with a clean, bright bathtub and the familiar pleasant-smelling lotion. Its floor-to-ceiling windows brought in lots of light, though the view was only average. The Hilton is nicely designed and good value. The welcome fruit was sparse, and the pastries were sweet; the complimentary chocolate cookies, a Double Tree staple, were very sweet too and seemed aimed at Western tastes.

The nearby shops were mostly shut, so there weren't many places to eat. Still, the hotel was such a bargain that I almost felt bad paying so little. The room was spacious and excellent value, even for a Hilton, and both the food and service were excellent. At the Executive Lounge Happy Hour, open to Hilton members from 4 PM to 8 PM, the selection was limited but felt luxurious. The fried rice and egg tarts were especially good. I only wish there were facilities like a swimming pool. I'd like to come back. Thank you.

The hotel looked stunning when I first saw it, which made the poor upkeep especially disappointing. There were stains on the carpet, dirty corners, and bathroom tiles that hadn't been cleaned. At breakfast, which was meant to start at 6:30, the stove was still cold and much of the food wasn't ready. The floor was wet and uncleaned, and the bathroom had empty plastic bottles and toilet paper scattered around when I went to wash my hands. It clearly seemed they were short-staffed. As I left, the employee opening the door was still looking at their phone. Such a beautiful hotel wasn't being maintained properly.
