Being near IKEA and Wanda Plaza made getting around convenient, whether for work or free time. My room was roomy and nicely furnished, with a bathtub, smart TV, and fast Wi-Fi. The hotel’s modern look and artistic details also made for a relaxed, upscale feel. Breakfast was a real highlight: there were made-to-order eggs, Chinese hot dishes, pastries, fruit, and very good coffee. The food was well presented, and staff were welcoming and attentive. I was impressed with my stay at Le Méridien Nantong and would happily come back.

This is easily the nicest hotel I’ve stayed at in China, after many trips and stays at five-star places in Shanghai and elsewhere. I’ve stayed at the other high-end hotels in Nantong too, and this one is miles ahead of them. Hard to believe a place this good is in Nantong. It feels like a true five-star hotel you could drop into a major US city and pay $800/nt without blinking.

The room and breakfast were fantastic, but the staff’s English was so poor that I had to call several times to get the food and drink I’d ordered. Also, after a long day out, I came back to find my room hadn’t been cleaned.

What a shame I only used the hotel to sleep and missed all the facilities. I didn’t even manage to take photos of the gym or pool.
