Wenfeng Hotel

Nice hotel 🏨

I haven’t stayed here myself, but I’ve sent visitors to Nantong here when they wanted somewhere quiet, and the reviews were excellent. The grounds are large, with a promenade walk of about five minutes from Qingnian East Road to the building. I sometimes went in for a stroll, stopping by the Japanese restaurant. There’s also a Chinese restaurant and a coffee shop, where I’d often unwind with cake or another dessert after a meal. The apartment-style units cost less than hotel rooms and seem suited to longer stays; Japanese and other foreign guests appear to use them too. The facilities are fairly clean and comfortable.

The kids had fun feeding fish in the park, and breakfast had plenty to choose from. We also got a complimentary dinner voucher, which made it feel like good value. The surroundings were lovely for a vacation, and the service felt warm and welcoming.

The hotel was lovely, set in the forest. One thing to keep in mind: at some buildings the front desk can be unattended, and when I tried to check out early in the morning, there was nobody there.
