Dagu Glacier Hotel

Inside the room, the lighting gives it a warm feel, with spotlights on the wall above the bed. There’s beige or light brown carpet, a corner lounge chair with a footrest, bedside tables, and a large wooden headboard. The bed looks like a large twin, perhaps queen or king sized, with white pillows and linens. Dark brown furniture and a headboard, orange-brown bedspread and footboard, and a brown floral cushion bring in warm, dark colors against the white bedding. From outside, the building stands out with dark gray stone walls, possibly slate or artificial stone, for a solid, contemporary rustic look. There’s a large sign on the roof, presumably the hotel’s name, and the covered main entrance is lit with red lights.

We were unhappy with the stay from the start. We had dinner after arriving and the staff were extremely rude. When we asked for water to mix with our drinks, they brought a huge pot of hot water. How were we meant to drink that, haha? In the room the shower pressure was very weak and kept changing, so showering was difficult. The air conditioning had no airflow at all. The front desk said the central system was blowing air, but other rooms clearly had airflow and ours didn’t. They wouldn’t come to check or let us change rooms. It was stuffy trying to sleep at that altitude, and the door was very hard to close. If it wasn’t shut properly, the alarm kept sounding. There were problems all over, and we were very dissatisfied. 👎

The breakfast choices were extremely limited, and dinner started the stay badly, with staff being incredibly rude. The shower pressure was so low and erratic that we could barely use it. Our room’s air conditioning had no airflow, even though other rooms clearly had some. The front desk insisted the central system was blowing air and wouldn’t bother checking, so we had to open the windows. We ended up with fevers, which was so frustrating. All these problems made the stay very unpleasant, yet they say they’re the best hotel in the area. How can they praise themselves like that? 😂😱 👎

It’s quiet and doesn’t feel crowded, and the room was nice, with no musty smell. The bathroom was clean and the bed soft. The food at the hotel tasted good and was perfectly edible. The drawback is the distance from the city center, so you have to eat here.
