Lantian Hotel

Check-in and check-out were extremely efficient, and the breakfast was good. The room fit the three of us just right. Jiuzhaigou entrance is a 15-minute walk away, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Great stay, highly recommended!

The room itself was acceptable, but the Mountain View room we booked looked onto a construction site. What made the stay hard to recommend was the service and the lack of basic air conditioning. They wouldn't turn on the central system because other guests might find it cold, even though it was 29 degrees Celsius during the day. The receptionist rudely said that air from the vents would be hot if we wanted it on. We couldn't sleep on two of our three nights, so we opened the window and asked for a fan. I won't consider this hotel again. Breakfast had virtually no service, and the room was crowded. The selection was mainly Chinese food, the toaster didn't work well, and the coffee wasn't good.

We didn't sleep well here. With the air conditioning on, it was too hot, but turning it off left the room stuffy and cold. The whole building shares a central system, so you can't set your own temperature. They also put us in a room facing THE WALL. Not recommended at all, please avoid this hotel and choose somewhere else.

Being close to the Jiuzhaigou Valley entrance was a major plus, and we had lots of restaurants and convenience stores within easy walking distance for meals, snacks, and drinks. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety and was excellent, though the area got crowded and hectic at times. I had a generally positive stay at the Holiday Inn Express Jiuzhaigou, and it was good value for the location.
