Hyatt Regency Ningbo Hangzhou Bay

The laundry came back quickly, and the staff helped me with everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was really clean. Breakfast was especially nice for a foreigner in China. I had no problems during my stay and would probably choose this hotel again if I return to Hangzhou Bay.

It was a pretty quiet stay, not busy or crowded, and the surrounding area was pleasant. Breakfast was decent with a good variety. The Wi-Fi was weak, though: audio calls through apps worked, but video didn't. Whether the hotel suits you depends on where you're going. All in all, it was okay.

I really liked the fancy breakfast. The room was very new looking and spacious, though mine had a slight smoky smell, as if someone had smoked there before. It's a five star hotel, at least for now, but nobody speaks English fluently. They should improve that.

The rooms are nice, as you'd expect from a standard Hyatt, and the price is good given the somewhat inconvenient location. Wi-Fi was fine for video meetings in the afternoon, but by evening it was almost unusable, under 50kbps with lots of dropped packets. If you need to work online, do it earlier in the day. In the evening, pages can take literal minutes to load, and even basic text messages on WeChat are slow.
