I ended up having to book somewhere else and stay there instead. The staff said they couldn't find my reservation, even after I showed them the confirmation email, and claimed they didn't work with any non-Chinese travel platforms. Later, they wouldn't work with United Hotel agents to help me get my points back, saying nobody on staff could speak English. A very bad experience. Overseas travelers should stay away.
