The spread at breakfast covers a lot of Asian and Western dishes, and the lobby is expansive and grand. My room was spacious, tidy, and clean, though the outside of the window looked dirty. There are lots of light switches, but some are tucked away in the toilet area, so I had to go in there to use them. The sink area also doesn't have enough room for toiletry bags. As a titanium member, I noticed there was no executive lounge. The hotel is remote, with little nearby, but it's kept up well and my stay was pleasant.

The food was good, though the choices leaned more Asian than I expected, with a smaller international selection. The Four Points was also kept very clean, and they enforced the no-smoking rules, so it didn't have the cigarette smell I find in most hotels in China. It's a beautiful hotel and a great place to stay on Qingdao. The staff were helpful too: after my suitcase broke on the flight, they sent a maintenance man straight to my room to see if he could fix it.

I couldn't get a proper night's rest here. The street noise came in when I opened the windows, and the room was so warm that sleeping at 24 degrees Celsius was uncomfortable, never mind using the duvet. The hotel only provided warm air and had intentionally blocked individual air conditioning controls. I'm extremely disappointed, and I won't stay here again.

Very, very bad experience. They switched off the centralized aircon at midnight without telling guests, and my room had no windows. I called the front desk, but nobody came for 30 minutes. In the end they sent up an old, noisy stand fan. I totally don't recommend this hotel. Update: They moved me to another room, and everything was fine there.
