The laundry setup was especially handy: there are six washers and dryers, and the TV shows a QR code for checking which machines are free. For my four nights in Qingdao, the room suited me well. It was bright, roomy, well insulated, and had no carpet, which I preferred. They left eight bottles of mineral water, plenty for tea or coffee. Fushan Station on Metro Line 2 is only 200 meters away at Exit A. The bumpy brick walkway out front was awkward with luggage.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the place was, which changed my preconception about China. The lobby looks luxurious, and the front desk staff were really friendly. They upgraded me to a room with a window for free. Hot water worked well, and there was no smell in the room. Some people found it small, but I had enough space for two suitcases and still had a wide path through the room. A sofa and table made it easy to eat snacks from the convenience store downstairs. There’s no refrigerator, but the price is reasonable and I was very satisfied. I plan to stay again when I’m back in Qingdao.

The bed was fine, the staff were friendly, and the location wasn’t bad. Still, my short stay got off to a rough start: the reservation confirmation took a long time, and I waited in the lobby for over 30 minutes. It felt as if they’d rushed me into an empty room. I’d booked one with a window but was taken to a room without one. Confirming the booking was a struggle because the staff had almost no English, and communicating in English was nearly impossible. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, and there was no toothpaste or toothbrush. Since I wasn’t staying long, I made do with the room.

I slept really comfortably here. The bed was very soft, the hot water was great, and the room was excellent and fully equipped. It was quiet up on a high floor, too. There are lots of shopping malls nearby in central Qingdao, and the price is reasonable. Highly recommend!
