I'm giving one star because of the housekeeping aunty who cleaned my room. Her service and attitude were an example of how the rest of the Westin Qingdao staff should treat guests. I paid extra for an upgrade that included executive lounge access, based on the Bonvoy website describing the room as newly renovated. The room was very outdated, though, and I've filed an official complaint and asked for a refund. The lounge experience was very bad. Its hours were 12pm to 9pm, with no breakfast, unlike other executive lounges. At 6:30pm, an hour after Happy Hour began, they'd run out of wine glasses. The only glass left was a cracked champagne glass, so I ended up drinking red wine from a paper cup. Food didn't meet Bonvoy Westin standards either. Breakfast was crowded and disorganized, the food was average at best and much of it wasn't properly heated. Tongs were being used for both raw and cooked items, and the whole scene honestly looked like a zoo. On Jan 3rd, I ordered a club sandwich through late-night room service, but what arrived was nowhere near a club sandwich. I couldn't find the Westin Heavenly Spa because gym staff directed me the wrong way. There were also very few managers around, and English-speaking staff were lacking overall.

The location works really well for business, with easy airport access, and it's a good base for exploring Qingdao and nearby areas. The sea front is only steps away, and the subway is close too. There's an excellent breakfast buffet with lots of choices, plus an indoor heated pool. Westin comfort, with local food and shopping nearby.

Great for work or a leisure trip, thanks to the location, attentive professional staff, and comfortable rooms. Mine was spacious and spotless, with a stunning view and excellent amenities. Breakfast was high quality with plenty of variety.

Lucy from the Service Express concierge was a huge help with a package I was arranging. It arrived the day after I checked out, and she helped ship it to another city I was visiting afterward. There's also an underground passage across to MixC mall. A memorable stay at the Westin Qingdao.
