For three days we were stuck in a terribly hot room, often wearing only our underwear. We visited in February when it was -8 degrees Celsius (17 degrees F) outside, but our room wouldn't cool below 28 deg (82 F). After we complained, they moved us from the 30th floor to the 29th, where it was still 26 deg C (78 deg F). We turned off the floor heater, opened the window vent, and kept the blinds fully closed, so we couldn't enjoy the view. Staff said the AC was off for winter because the building engineers had shut it down. Either the building was badly engineered, or the engineers and management have no idea what they're doing, probably both. I do NOT recommend staying here until they get the HVAC under control.

The rooms were modern and clean, and the property seemed well managed. It's next to the observation tower, where you can get a 370 view of Qingdao.

The location is good and the view is fantastic. There was an automatic coffee machine in the room, and the sea-view pool was nice and long enough for a workout.
