Shangri-La Qingdao

The location is superb, right by the metro and next to the huge MIXc mall, and this hotel was great value for the money. Our room was wide, clean, and stocked with lots of complimentary items. The staff were so friendly and ready to help. After I asked for extra coffee one day, the cleaner on the 8th floor spoiled me with more coffee bags. Breakfast was gorgeous, with pretty much any food you could think of. The dishes changed each day and were excellent. They managed the guests amazingly, with no waiting and no empty trays. The front desk was quick and capable. There’s also a professional gym that can be opened outside its regular hours if requested, and the spa is very well furnished and equipped. I couldn’t ask for better.

After Tokyo and Shz, this was another great Shangri La experience. The hotel isn’t new, but its facilities are very well maintained, and the staff throughout were professional and friendly. Housekeeping was meticulous, even arranging dirty clothes in a “show room display” style, as in the photo. The air conditioning was cold enough for the usual HK standard. During our three-night stay from 19-22 June 2026, we got different treats each day. Great location too. Thanks for making our QD trip brighter!

We had a car accident in Qingdao while using didi, and the hotel staff were incredibly helpful. York, the duty manager, actively coordinated with the police and helped us report it. We eventually got a medical claim from Chinese Car insurance. Nick, the concierge, was very hospitable and helped us find medicine and medical aid online. Great service, and the location is good, next to the MRT and Mixc mall. I highly recommend this hotel.

Mr. Goto’s recommendations helped us make the most of our time in Qingdao, and he was incredibly kind and helpful. The service was excellent throughout. Our room felt world class, and the Toto washlet bidet in the toilet was a huge plus. The food was great too, and the staff took care of everything during our stay.
