The Westin Qingdao West Coast

September 2025, 5 stars. The hotel is beautiful, with amazing interiors. The breakfast room is huge, though vegetarian choices are very limited.

I first stayed here in Mar2019 and came back in Dec2023. They have looked after the property so well that it still feels very new. The rooms, dinner, breakfast, and customer service were all good. The only drawback is how far it is from Qingdow city center.

I stayed here for a trade fair at Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition. From outside and in the lobby, the brand-new hotel looks spectacular, but the rooms are only average, and several things weren't acceptable for a property at this level. The staff knew very little English, and even the concierge couldn't help me. They also didn't seem professional or familiar with basic hotel and restaurant practices. At the buffet restaurant, I didn't like being told at the front desk that I had to pay before going to the buffet. The lunch buffet also costs more than dinner, which makes no sense to me. The restaurant itself is good. Please give the staff more training in professional conduct and English.

I had a really good time at this property. The staff were very helpful.
