The traditional Chinese design is a real draw here, with a scenic pond and patio at the center and beautiful dining rooms upstairs. I had a good stay, and the breakfast buffet was impressive. The hotel is large, though it feels old and dusty, and clearly needs a thorough dusting and vacuuming. Our toilet had visible stains and we had to ask for it to be cleaned. Service in the private dining area also wasn't very attentive. The photos on Google reviews make the place look newer than it is. If you want a hotel with traditional Chinese design, though, this is a good choice.

I was there during Golden Week, when the area was crowded, but the hotel itself stayed quiet and peaceful. It's perfectly located, just a two-minute walk from the most beautiful street in the old city. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and clean, the staff were helpful and friendly, and breakfast was good too. I was really happy with my stay.
