Grand Honor Hotel

The river of breakfast choices was good, and the food was fantastic. Come down around 7 a.m. if you want more options, though, since they don't refill it. The lobby has a tea corner on the left where you can try tea to buy from the hotel and chat with the attendants. Our room was spacious and comfortable, but be careful using the toilet because water can flow out. The hotel has signs warning about this. During peak holidays in China, the mini beds may be unavailable even if you told the hotel months ahead. They said we hadn't paid for them in advance, and nobody helped push the beds together to make a larger one. Service was pretty good, though there was no bellboy to help with luggage or heavy items. They were short staffed, so I couldn't really blame them. The shops are a bit farther away, about a ten-minute walk. It was a comfortable stay overall.

The room was in poor shape, with a few nails on the floor. Front desk service was also very poor. We asked for help ordering food from a website and offered cash because we didn't have a local phone number, but they turned us down without suggesting any solution. The woman working the shift on 21/05 was especially inhospitable. Please keep that unprofessional attitude to yourself.

The location was wonderful, and the hotel was good. I stayed for a week; the room was clean and nice, and the facilities were wonderful.
