The room decor and bed were nice, and the staff were generally courteous and pleasant. Service was okay, but the heat made the stay very uncomfortable for me, my associates, and friends. The AC seemed fixed at 26 to 27 degrees Celsius and wouldn't go lower even when adjusted. There was no air-conditioning in the corridor, which was unbearably hot and stuffy, especially at night. In summer, most hotels consider at least 23 degrees acceptable. This summer has been unusually hot, so even a 21-degree baseline might not feel cold, but would still be okay. I came back from the laundry room drenched in sweat.
10/10
A comfortable mattress and soundproof windows made for a great night's sleep, and the shower had excellent pressure and temperature. The central location is handy, with Kaiyuan Temple within walking distance. There were so many free extras, from a hair clip and makeup remover in the bathroom to ice cream in the lobby, more than I've ever seen elsewhere. The staff were especially friendly and kind. I really enjoyed my weekend at this high-quality budget hotel.
