We were welcomed warmly by receptionist Connie, who personally showed us to our room on the second floor. The 40-square-meter room was spacious, with a balcony and a lovely sea view. We booked three nights in a seaview room, and found the location within walking distance of eateries and attractions. Breakfast was good, though there’s room to improve, and the staff were polite. It’s a recommended place for a vacation and good value for money. I didn’t have time to use the KTV or swimming pools this trip, but I’ll be back to enjoy those facilities.

The Dong Mingzhu Tea House inside the hotel has a lovely atmosphere, and the tea is excellent. After a tiring day at the beach, it’s well worth a visit. The handsome owner knows a lot about tea. Summer rates for ocean-view rooms are quite high, and late check-out isn’t available. I heard the owner also rents high-floor ocean-view rooms at Xisha Bay Ocean View Garden across the street, which can be booked through Airbnb. I’ll try that next time!

The heating worked well, and the shower had good water pressure. I was here for a business trip, and the resort-like setting made it feel relaxing. It’s a big hotel, though, so getting from reception to my room meant quite a walk.
