The ocean view is wonderful, and the location is excellent. Breakfast has a huge range of options. The food in the executive lounge isn’t that great, but it’s still worth a try if you’re in Rizhao. A great place to stay.

The waterfront setting is lovely, and the rooms are great too. I took off one star because there’s no bedside reading light. The ceiling bulb shines straight down on your head, which is extremely uncomfortable. Otherwise, the hotel is excellent. You can also walk over the bridge to the nearby beach island, where there are various amusements.

The room was spacious and comfortable, but several things were really unsatisfactory. During my long stay, it seemed like the carpet around the bed was never properly vacuumed, and it smelled bad. The room needs a deep clean. Music from the barbecue was also much too loud, making the sea view room even less pleasant. The VIP lounge on the 12th floor was a mess. At Sheraton hotels it’s usually a relaxing place, but here it was overcrowded and poorly stocked. Once service started, it turned into a jungle, and staff didn’t check whether guests were allowed in. People came in and cleared away the food as if they’d never seen a bite before. Basic soft drinks like cola were often missing, and the cheap wine was pathetic. There was hardly any Western food. Staff at a Western chain barely spoke English. Still, if I managed to communicate, for example with a translation app, they tried to help.

The hotel is modern, and the location and view are fantastic. My comfortable room had a large balcony with one of the best views, plus a nice open-design bathroom. I was there for just one night and had breakfast in the morning. It was nice, with the usual choices, mostly Chinese dishes and a few Western options.

The sea view was breathtaking from the moment I arrived, and the hotel's location made the whole stay feel peaceful. I also found the room and service worthy of five stars. The executive lounge became my favorite place to relax or get some work done, with its lovely view over the water. The staff there were attentive, warm, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. They made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. There was a good selection of snacks and refreshments too, adding to the comfortable, indulgent feel of the lounge. My time at the Rizhao Sheraton Hotel felt luxurious and comfortable, and I left with wonderful memories. The hotel clearly puts a lot of care into giving guests a memorable stay. $$$+
