The two-bedroom suite was a good size, and the beach is about a five-minute walk away. The sea view, though, is mostly hidden by tall buildings, and our 10th-floor room had plenty of noise from traffic and shops. Getting around inside was frustrating: the lifts are terrible, with waits of up to 10 minutes in a corridor without air conditioning. The so-called gym is just a couple of machines outside by the pool. Internet was painfully slow, though that may not be specific to this hotel. We put up the “do not disturb” sign and staff still came in, insisting on cleaning. There were mostly Chinese and Russian guests. Breakfast was okay, but if you only read English, you may struggle to figure out what the dishes are.

It's a walk to Sanya's beaches. This is a “Russian” hotel, and the area is popular with Russian tourists. The resort-style rooms open onto balconies with fantastic views, though the entrance and facade are terrible.

The pool is tiny, and the staff's English is poor. It's a very inconvenient hotel for families with children. I wouldn't recommend it to any family, it was verrrrryyyyy bad...
