Dinner was very good, and the Chinese restaurant was great, but breakfast was poor. Our room was clean, though we didn't notice any renovation. English was hard to find, even at reception, where sometimes nobody spoke it. The beach by the hotel is awful, with very little space where swimming is allowed. I wouldn't recommend Dadonghai for a beach holiday.
Breakfast was good, and there’s a shopping mall nearby. The check-in service was poor, though. Our room was dirty when we arrived, with water on the floor and hair in the bathtub. When I called the operator from the room and spoke English, they simply hung up. There was a broken tile in the pool and rusty pool equipment. There were also drunk Russians around.
There were lots of kids around, and some areas felt humid. The hotel is huge and a bit old, but it’s still well maintained. Our room was bright, nicely designed, spacious enough, and had a great view.
The rooms are nice, and the location in Dadonghai is great. It’s inside a shopping mall packed with restaurants. Still, it doesn’t really feel like a five-star hotel, especially in the little details.
The room was spacious and cozy, and breakfast was delicious. A very nice hotel.
