Pullman Sanya Yalong Bay Villas & Resort

The resort setting is lovely, with tropical gardens, a peaceful villa layout, and a good spot in Yalong Bay for beaches and nearby attractions. The breakfast buffet was the best part of my stay: lots of local and international choices, freshly prepared and consistently good. Restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. The room was a real letdown for a Pullman. It was very dated, with worn furniture, some broken or falling apart, and old-fashioned decor. Maintenance hasn’t kept up with the luxury-resort standard. The pool was sectioned off, and both the slide and jacuzzi were out of order, which was especially disappointing for families or anyone wanting to relax in the water. The gym was small and mediocre, with limited basic equipment and none of the clean, modern feel you’d expect. It seemed like an afterthought. The resort has plenty of potential, but the rooms need refurbishing, the broken facilities need repairs, and the gym needs an upgrade. I enjoyed the food and surroundings, but there’s a lot to improve, and I hope management addresses it.

This was a terrible stay, the worst Pullman I’ve been to. The room decor was already 20 years out of date. Could it even be a fake Pullman? The staff matched the rooms, with no interest in customer service. Even at half the price, it wouldn’t be worth it. Go to the neighboring Marriott instead. Avoid this hotel.

The huge pool is a plus, though the slide’s water flow is too weak. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, and the town center is a 10 CNY taxi ride away. A shuttle runs every 15 minutes to the private beach, but it’s away from the center and not the best in the area. It sits on top of a collapsing dune. If the beach is your main reason for choosing a hotel, try the nearby 'MGM Grand' or 'Mangrove Tree' instead.

I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable holiday in Sanya. The rooms are really cozy, the grounds are extensive, and the staff are highly professional. They made the stay feel amazing.
