We’d be happy to stay here again. Our deluxe twin room was quiet and a decent size, and housekeeping did a good job. The walk to the shopping plaza and MTR station took about 15 minutes, though the hotel shuttle to the station and Shatin Town Plaza was very convenient. The breakfast choices were okay, and the food quality could be better, but the service there really stood out. Dick, the assistant manager, was friendly, polite, helpful, and always greeted us with a sincere smile. He was very professional and went the extra mile. Yee (Yee）worked hard at the egg and dim sum station, which seemed to be the busiest one. Tina and the rest of the breakfast staff also worked hard to keep everything in order.

I’d love to see Sister Ping again when we come back for the summer holiday. During our Chinese New Year stay at Alva Hotel, the cleaner on the 21st floor made us feel at home with her warm greetings and polite manner each day. Our room was spotless, and she paid close attention to the details. She was also kind enough to help me take my luggage to the lift at checkout. She’s a wonderful member of staff and a real credit to the hotel. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.

The room and bed were clean, which mattered a lot to us. The bathroom felt a little dated and had just a walk-in shower, and the hair dryer was weak. We only spent one night here, so we didn’t get to try the amenities. It’s in a decent spot if you want somewhere quiet, though it’s a bit removed from the main attractions and the area isn’t crowded. The stay didn’t really feel like a four- or five-star experience.

For Hong Kong at this price, I’m satisfied. I stayed two weeks on a tight budget, and the service was better than I expected, around four-star level. The staff have lots of energy and keep the place clean and fresh. The facilities felt closer to three and a half stars, which was okay. Just don’t expect a fancy pool, bathroom, or gym.
