It’s a long-stay serviced apartment with a six-month minimum lease, and there’s a waiting list. The rooms are fairly spacious by Hong Kong standards, with many offering ocean views. It’s uncrowded and works well for leisure living. The location is somewhat far from the main city, but getting around is convenient by MTR, bus, or minibus.
The building looks older in person than it does in the pictures. If you get lucky, there’s a nice sea view, and the gym also looks out over the sea and promenade.
The notice gave a service time that didn’t match when service was actually available. Customer service and communication need to improve.
Many residents have lived here for years, and leases require at least six months. It’s a serviced apartment style place at reasonable prices, and very convenient. An MTR stop is two blocks away, and three shuttle buses go to nearby spots. There’s a park right beside the hotel, plus two wet markets with fresh seafood. The views are great, looking over Shatin Sea, Chinese University, and the Guanyin statue near Taipo. A library branch and community recreation center are a five-minute walk away. There’s also a decent shopping center with a movie theater and at least ten bakeries, about ten minutes on foot.
There’s no housekeeping service, just a furnished apartment with basic furniture. The rooms are fully leased, and you have to call to ask about availability. There’s no waiting list, so the sales staff seem reluctant to show the property or share much information about it. She did explain one important detail: electricity is charged at the commercial rate, not the residential one, so expect a high bill.
