The staff are really friendly, and the rooms feel very cosy. It's about 3 minutes from nanjing road, Shanghai's most famous road, and the breakfast is very good too. I recommend meta hotels in shanghai.

The robot service brought things we requested, like slippers or toothpaste, and we could have Tao bao orders sent to the hotel. Staff were nice and offered mineral water whenever we left. We stayed 6 days in a guest room with 2 beds and no window. It was fairly spacious, enough to open a 28 size suitcase. The bathroom was okay, with good water flow, but no bidet. Cleanliness could be better: underneath the mattress looked dirty and some used slippers had been left behind. There's a hot pot place and a tasty dumpling restaurant next door. The MRT is around 700 m away, a 10-15 minute walk.

We stayed 5 days in the guest room and got upgraded to a better room. Nice hotel and nice staff. :)

The shower flooded, and there were no windows. People hung around in the hallway smoking and talking. There were handprints on the walls, which looked unfinished, and the TV had no sound. Possibly the worst room.

Clean and a great price, with a convenient spot near the subway and Musuem.
