The park was renovated a few years ago. It's okay overall.
It's mainly a park for local people and their children, and a nice place to see how locals spend their weekends. Metro Line 1 is the easiest way to get there. For more information about Shanghai, twitter me@ jerryshanghai or email: accotek@163.com
At 130rmb per person, you still have to pay extra for the ferris wheel, while most rides are out of order. The few that do work only run every 30 to 60 minutes to save electricity. Not recommended.
We were really disappointed and wouldn't go back. A lot of the equipment was too old to enjoy, and many attractions weren't working when we visited. There are no trees around, so everything is out in the direct sun.
