The breakfast wasn't international, and I couldn't find anything to eat. The door was very dirty and smelled really bad. I can't recommend this place.

I paid around 500 a night, but I’d be better off spending that at another hotel. They wouldn't turn on the air conditioning and told me to open the window and sleep instead. Staff, technicians and the manager all seemed involved. If I complained, they would turn it on, then switch it off again later.

The location is convenient, about a 10 minute walk from the metro, with a mall opposite. The hotel is nice, but the air conditioning doesn't work well. Staff suggested opening the window to let in outside air, but it was still hot. The bathroom is large, though the water flow is weak.

The breakfast is pretty ordinary, and the gym facilities are poor.

At the heart of Shanghai, Baoan Hotel pairs comfortable rooms with a varied dining experience. There are local and international choices, from Chinese favorites like dim sum and Peking duck to Western dishes. The chefs focus on fresh ingredients and authentic flavors, and the restaurant has a cozy atmosphere for relaxing over a meal. The hotel is also known for excellent hospitality.
