We didn’t stay at the Hostel, just came for the rooftop bar. Take the lift to the 5th floor, then walk up to the 6th. The Captain on Fuzhou Road is one of Shanghai’s best rooftop spots, with incredible views of The Bund and the majestic Pearl Tower as the city lights come on. It was busy, but the manager, Bella, welcomed us warmly, paid attention to us, and quickly found us a prime table on the outdoor terrace. The rest of the staff were prompt and friendly too. There’s a wide, satisfying selection of drinks and food, whether you want a classic cocktail or a casual bite. Highly recommend for a great evening, a wonderful view, and top-notch hospitality.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, just visited the bar and restaurant. Sitting on the rooftop, you get fabulous views of the Bund. The contrast between the historic buildings there and the modern skyline across the Huangpu River is breathtaking, especially at night when the city lights come on.

We had a blast at the rooftop bar. My cousins and I enjoyed the superb view of the bund, and the menu prices were reasonable. The manager is a Filipina, so warm and welcoming. Will definitely come back next time.

The bar and restaurant on the hostel's sixth floor have both indoor and outdoor seating. I stopped in for a casual drink while exploring Shanghai. I didn't eat, but the vibe was good, with plenty of drinks to choose from. Service took a little while; still, it's a nice place to hang out, and the views would be lovely on a clear day.
