This was my second stay at Courtyard Shanghai Hongqiao, and I enjoyed it as much as the first. The hotel is great value, especially for a stopover, with Hongqiao Airport and the railway station only minutes away. My room was spacious, clean, and well looked after. I’d recommend it for business or transit stays.

The rooms were in excellent condition and the customer service was excellent too. I found the stay comfortable and well suited to business travellers working in the area. There isn’t much entertainment within walking distance, but a short didi ride sorts that out. It’s quite far from Pudong airport, where most international flights land, though it is near Hongqiao airport. They even have massage beds!

We skipped the hotel breakfast because there are shops opposite, and tried two places there: a noodle shop and another selling Pork Rib Rice. Both were nice, above average. We spent six nights here for the Bakery China expo. The area was quiet, and the rooms were comfortable for a reasonable rate. Walking to the NECC expo takes about 20 minutes.

A decent hotel, but it’s a long way from both Hongqiao and the metro station, and services are limited for its category.

We stayed several nights and had a great experience. The hotel sits roughly between three MRT stations, so expect a 15-20 minute walk. From there it’s easy to get to MRT line 17 or line 2, as well as Hongqiao hub. Our room was spacious and tidy, and everything was in good condition. The simple, modern decor suits business travellers and couples who like that style. Staff were excellent, handling requests quickly and bringing amenities to the room within 10 minutes. Hongqiao hub also makes trips northwest to Suzhou or southwest to Hangzhou pretty convenient.
