Our room was cleaned every day, and I had no complaints about the stay. The rooms were neat, the bathrooms spacious, and the view of Shanghai from our room's french window was wonderful. Breakfast was good, though vegetarians could use more variety. The hotel is now named Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Oriental Shanghai. We had a great stay and would gladly come back.

I spent four nights here. The room was comfortable and the receptionists were friendly. The buffet breakfast was too basic and exactly the same each day: Chinese food, porridge, fruit, popcorn, fries, and bread. There wasn't a closet, just a simple wooden frame for hanging suits. The TV had only Chinese programs, with nothing in English or any other language.

Pudong, Shanghai, China is a prime location, and there are two 24-hour department stores nearby for anything you need. The breakfast was better than at other 3-star hotels in the area. Still, compared with hotels in the same rent segment, this place felt too average. The rooms were furnished well but too small, and the receptionist didn't understand basic English and was too arrogant to help with anything.
