Fairfield by Marriott Shanghai Jingan

The housekeeping wasn’t thorough during my four-night stay. They straightened the sheets and took out the trash each day, but the bathroom didn’t seem properly cleaned, and hair clogged the drain so shower water pooled. Breakfast was average, with limited choices. Service also felt inconsistent because the staff changed with each shift. Some were friendly, others quite unfriendly. When I arrived for a late check-in around 4 AM after a delayed flight, the lobby was completely dark and only one receptionist was on duty. I went straight to sleep without checking the room. After waking and showering, I found stains and visible dirt on the bed sheets. For a 4-star hotel, that was really disappointing. We reported it to reception before going out, but all they said was, “We will check and replace it.” There was no apology or complimentary gesture. The stay was acceptable, but far below what I’d expect from a 4-star hotel, especially for cleanliness, consistent service, and proper hospitality.

I had a wonderful 10-night stay at Jing An shanghai fairfield marriot hotel. The staff were all friendly, and I was amazed by the robot delivery companion. There’s a small convenience store next door for any last-minute amenities. The hotel also provides bullet type detergent for laundry, and dryers are available. I’d definitely come back if I get the chance. Thumbs up!
