This is only about the restaurant. A friend treated us to lunch with ten courses: sautéed beef with onion and red peppers, chicken in soy sauce, a tasty local vegetable, soup with rice, Xiao long bao (small dumpling), eel, sweet fish, steamed fish, spicy tofu and shrimp, and shrimp with vinegar. They served hot lemon water during the meal and finished with chilled sugar cane. I drank the water, yes, living life on the edge!

The room may be small, but it’s clean and comfortable, and all the staff are kind. It’s the best. I always stay here when I go to Lao Minhang.

Just average. The bathroom’s too small, and the TV is still a cathode ray tube set. I ordered boiled fish fillet for dinner, and it was the worst fish fillet I’ve ever eaten.
