Hanting Express

I booked through trip.com after checking Baidu Maps, since the details on Google Maps seemed a little off. I don’t think this is a 2-star hotel. I was only staying during a transit, and the location worked well: Chuansha Station is four subway stops from Pudong Airport, and the hotel is on a main road, about a 7-8 minute walk for women. Reception is on the second floor. The staff were kind and helpful, and even used a translation app. My room was spacious and very clean. There was complimentary water, tea, and juice in the fridge. They offer free one-way transfers to Disneyland and the airport, so I asked for a ride to the airport. After I shared my flight time, they said I’d need the 7am shuttle to make it, but I could come down at 6:40am for breakfast before it left. Breakfast had plenty of options and suited our tastes, so I took some pictures. A twin room for two with breakfast was about 13,000 yen. There’s a big shopping mall by the station, with plenty of places to eat and shop. I think it’s a great fit for Japanese people, and I recommend it.

I was satisfied with the room, which was perfectly normal. The hotel is a short walk from the station, with restaurants nearby, and the subway ride from the airport takes about 20 minutes. There’s no free airport shuttle, though. If you have an early flight, check when the subway starts running.

For an early flight with a layover, this is convenient because you can avoid going into the city. The hotel is easy to reach from the airport and close to the subway. Its sign is visible as soon as you leave the station.
