I had a really bad experience here. People smoked in the rooms, which I find completely unacceptable, and children were shouting and playing in the hallway. There’s no soundproofing, so I could hear everyone in the hotel. The smell of food mixed with cigarettes was awful, and there was no clean, fresh air. One day it made me throw up.

I’d seen this hotel chain around Shanghai, but hadn’t stayed with it before. This particular hotel is in a really quiet neighborhood, with good connections to downtown and the tourist spots.
