The big plus is the location, about one and a half blocks from The Bund and the promenade, with buses close by too. I've stayed here many times, including once with my dad when he was flying back to the States and we just needed a cheap room. It's a real money saver. It's a good place if you mainly need somewhere to sleep. Most rooms don't have windows because there's not much of a view. You can pay a couple extra RMB for one, but the view still won't be good. There's no breakfast included, and, like many low-priced places, no elevator. A room with two beds is literally for two people, no more. I've also booked the single-bed rooms, and those are great. They have a bathroom, hot-water shower, complimentary toothbrushes, combs, and small toiletries. The shower has shampoo and body gel dispensers, though they're often filled in the wrong spots. LOL.

We picked the 6-hour check-in option during our Shanghai layover before heading on to Beijing, and it fit our transit schedule perfectly. The hotel is affordable, close to the metro, and has flexible check-in options, including hourly stays. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, a good place to rest between flights, and the hotel had everything we needed for a short stay. Public transportation is easy to reach, and The Bund is about a 20-minute walk away. A practical, comfortable choice for travelers on a layover. Highly recommended!

The hotel is clean, though the entrance is a drawback, and there's no safety deposit box. When looking it up, use the default map view in Google Maps. Satellite imagery for China isn't accurate.
