Hyatt Centric Zhongshan Park Shanghai

We stayed in the Executive suite on the top floor, and it was huge. The staff were courteous, and breakfast was part of the rate. It’s a great city hotel beside Zhongshan park metro station, with a direct route to Pudong Airport.

I can’t use the guest laundry here, since there are no washers or dryers for guests. Aside from that, this was my second-best hotel stay ever, after Signiel Seoul, and I’m surprised by the negative reviews. I booked a gorgeous suite for an unbelievably low 12k Hyatt points per night for 5 nights. The room was immaculate, roomy, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. Everything from the mattress, linens, towels, furnishings, and technology felt top quality. It even had a high-end smart toilet and Dyson hairdryer. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, both the food and the variety. Everyone was friendly and helpful, from the bell hops to the restaurant staff. The manager came up when we had an AC issue, and she was delightful and fixed it quickly. Shops, restaurants, and boba shops are all around, and the park across the street is a peaceful break from the city. I’ll stay here every time I come to Shanghai.

I was only there for one night, but the staff were so kind and dedicated that their service stuck with me. The negative reviews don’t match what I experienced.

The breakfast was amazing, really local and high quality, probably the best among Hyatt hotels in Shanghai. Everyone was super friendly and attentive, and the service was wonderful. The rooms aren’t large, but they’re quiet, comfortable, and have everything you need. We had a spectacular, relaxing view of Zhongshan park. The location is perfect, right by Yuyuan Road and just a 3 minute walk from the subway. There are lots of good little restaurants and shops nearby. I’ll definitely stay again!
