The concierge was so helpful that he walked with me all the way to the airport security check-in door. The hotel is also just a three-minute walk from Terminal 1 at Shanghai airport, with a grocery store nearby that's open until midnight. My room was well laid out, clean, comfortable, and very quiet, and breakfast was a continental buffet with lots to choose from. One drawback: construction on new buildings across from the hotel makes it a little noisy during the day. This isn't an Intercity property. Highly recommended.

The metro station is only a two-minute walk away, and the room cleaning and service were done properly. Breakfast was decent, but vegetarians had very few choices. We stayed for three nights. Don't have the reception staff book a taxi: they make an online booking and charge more than double the price. The day-one mini-bar offer was no use to us either. It was just a bottle of Sprite, soda, and a beer we didn't want.

It's an easy walk from the airport, and Intercity Hotel is a comfortable business hotel. The food was great and clean.

Trip.com reviews for this hotel look extremely positive, but I wonder how some of them are being posted. At checkout, the staff knew I'd booked through Trip.com and asked if everything had been okay, then mentioned a gift. She asked to see my phone to check the booking and posted a review without telling me. I assume it was a complimentary review for the hotel. The hotel itself is good, but that's how I believe they're getting those reviews.

It's good value for the money. The rooms are new, clean, and had everything we needed, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were really nice and helpful. The hotel is 100 m from exit 1 of metro line 10.
