JI Hotel (Shanghai Pudong New International Expo Center Kerry City)

Getting to the neighboring exhibition was extremely convenient, and being connected to the shopping mall and subway made it easy to get around. There were plenty of nearby places to eat as well. Check-in was a breeze, and Elio was professional and answered all my questions. Breakfast had a good range of options too. I’m extremely happy we chose this hotel and can’t wait to come back.

The big park next door was great for running, and the hotel is close to the subway. I stayed for a conference on the higher floors and had a breathtaking panoramic Shanghai view from my clean, spacious room. There were lots of USB ports and even a bar, plus access to the executive lounge until 11pm. The large gym on the fourth floor had an amazing view too, with more than a dozen treadmills facing it, though it wasn’t open 24 hours. Breakfast was a little crowded, but had plenty of local and international choices, including a nice Swiss Bircher muesli. Typical Shangri-La hospitality. I’d visit again.

The city center’s a little far, but the airport is close and the area is peaceful, so it’s a nice place to relax. The hotel connects to a department store where it’s easy to find food and drinks. The room was really clean and cozy, and the staff were very supportive and comfortable speaking English.

The shopping connection is a real plus: Kerry Parkside Mall links directly to the hotel’s ground floor. At the mall entrance, there’s a Sudan plus electronics shop with good gadget prices and tax refund invoices, and you can get a 9% refund at the airport. The hotel also has two restaurants and a bar serving freshly prepared beer. It’s one of the best business hotels in Shanghai, from the same group as Shangrila Hotel.
