At checkout I got an espresso at the bar and was shocked by the price, 74 RNB. I haven't paid that much for an espresso in a while. About the pool: it's open until 22.30, but the small print says the last entry is 22.00. At 22.10 they wouldn't let me in, even for ten minutes. I said I'd stay until 22.30 the next day. Update: I understand the pool issue now. Three men supervised me while I swam, and the lady was a team player.

The neighborhood was easy to get around on foot, with restaurants, parks, and the metro nearby. The breakfast buffet had loads of variety and stayed open until 10am. My room was spacious and had everything I needed. One thing to know: during my April stay, the air conditioning was centrally set to 24-25 degrees Celsius. Staff can unlock the window, and I slept with it open, which made the room tolerable at night.

I heard concerning reports about housekeeping, including someone's luggage being tried open and money going missing from someone's wallet. Management should take these things seriously. The breakfast was very good, and the hotel's location is perfect. It's a relaxing, quiet place to stay, and I recommend it, but consider not having housekeeping clean your room if you have anything valuable or special in it.

The room was bright and the hotel was clean. But there's no public mobile number available from the lobby to order “mei tuan,” and they don't have a delivery robot. You have to go downstairs and pick up your food from a locker, unless you're feeling unwell, in which case they'll bring it up.

The view from the 21st floor is wide, and the lobby is very grand. Breakfast has a big selection of local and international food. Shops and restaurants are close by. There's also that odd window looking into the bathroom. Why?
