A toilet that wouldn't flush and the lack of an elevator suggest the place is a bit old, but the price is low and the location is hard to beat. The staff were genuinely kind and polite, and they kept the room very clean during my longer stay. I had no trouble with smells, noise, or hot water, so I'd recommend it to solo travelers. People's Square Station is nearby, and Nanjing Pedestrian Street is under a three-minute walk away. There are also lots of well-known restaurants close by. Thanks to the staff for being so kind!
