The place was filthy from top to bottom, including the rooms and hallways. The sheets and pillowcases were disgusting, and looked as though they hadn't been changed for several guests in a row. Management clearly doesn't seem interested in keeping the property or its facilities in decent condition, or even making it look that way.

It's good value and close to the tourist spots, so I'd recommend it. Just be aware there isn't a refrigerator and the walls are thin.

The metro is only 200 meters away, with places to eat, shops, and taverns nearby. For a few nights in Shanghai, it worked out fine. The room was small and sparse, but everything was in working order, including the shower and air conditioning, and the linens were clean. It was a bit noisy, but what can you do?

I was travelling alone and wanted somewhere clean and inexpensive, which is why I picked this hotel. My room had no window, and the shower pressure was a little weak. It's near the station, though the main shopping area is a bit of a distance away. I'd recommend it if you don't mind switching subway lines.
