A Western-style hotel, with a decent-sized room and good breakfast.

The hairdryer is old, and the airflow is weak. I stayed here twice and found long hairs both times, several in the bathtub on my first stay and one on the desk during the second, which made me question the cleanliness. On the plus side, the building is impressive, the interior is clean, and the station is conveniently close.

The breakfast had plenty of choice, and the professional coffee machine was a nice extra. The rooms were very clean, and the facilities and service felt better than you’d expect for the price. Metropolo Jinjiang, Xuhui District, Jinjiang (formerly Nanhuating Hotel) reopened on February 9, 2018, right beside Exit 7 of Shanghai Indoor Stadium Station on the Shanghai Metro Line. It’s a modern luxury business hotel and a good place to stay for a business trip in Shanghai.

It has a long history as Shanghai’s first five-star hotel, and the age does show a little. Still, it’s clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly.
