Joya Shanghai Xujiahui Hotel

I’ve stayed here twice on business trips to Shanghai over the past two years, and it remains my pick for my next visit. It’s a calm, relaxing hotel, with tea and snacks set out for guests in the lobby. The location is handy for a business center, office buildings, a park, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and the metro, all within walking distance. By car, Hongqiao rail way station and airport take about 20-30 minutes to reach. The staff don't speak English, but they're helpful and service minded. We used a phone translator, so communication wasn't a problem. Breakfast has good quality and variety. Some dishes change daily, while others stay the same.

Mr. Liu at the front desk went out of his way to help us book a restaurant after we found the listed phone number was wrong. He also arranged a taxi, welcomed us with drinks, and was so genuinely kind and uplifting. This is easily my best hotel!

The room at Joya Hotel Xujiahui was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, and the staff were accommodating and provided great service. It's in an excellent location, too. I'd gladly stay again and highly recommend Joya hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.

The way you enter the rooms feels a little odd, but the staff are incredibly courteous and always smiling. They go out of their way to help. And the art is great!
