The room quality is poor overall. Paint had already peeled off a wall when I entered my assigned room, 508. Noise is another problem: the walls and windows don't block sound, so I could hear people in the neighboring rooms as well as the metro beside the hotel. The air conditioning keeps cutting in and out, and it had failed again several times in the hour before I wrote this.

The rooms are huge, and the service is great.

We're staying here for about three weeks. The location is quiet, the staff are really friendly and accommodating, and there are plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. The S-train station is close, so getting to Shanghai's city center is quick. For the price, it's an excellent hotel.
