Nostalgia S Hotel(Shanghai Railway Station )

I stayed at their Hangzhou and Shanghai Jingan locations, and both were excellent and welcoming. The staff were professional and helpful, including with laundry. The hotel is right in front of a metro station, and it’s a short bike ride to the Nanjing West shopping area. The bathroom did have a slight urine smell, which seems to be a thing in China.

The service was immaculate and the hotel was clean. I’ve stayed in other cities in China, and this was the best hotel I’ve been to. Xiao Tao at the front desk was especially kind and helped us a lot.

The subway station is right across the street, which made getting around easy. The staff were always friendly, helped us order late-night takeout, and a robot brought it up to our room. My son loved that, and they even gave him a cute toothbrush set. I was surprised by how much I liked the place. The room was clean, with smart buttons for the shower, toilet, and curtains. They also offered free laundry: leave dirty clothes in the basket with the form and staff collect them during room cleaning. There were free snacks and food from 5 to 7 a.m. and after 11 p.m. This ended up being my best choice in Shanghai, even better than the four-star hotel we stayed at during the first few days. I can’t praise it enough.

The rooms were nice, cleaned every day, and the free items and water were topped up. I appreciated that, since some hotels don’t do it. Everyone on staff was kind, even with the language barrier, and I especially liked the free laundry service. The hotel is also very handy for the metro, right across from the station.
