The carpet in the room was awful, with stains everywhere. I didn't dare walk around without shoes. The beds and bath seemed fine, and the location wasn't bad. Breakfast had a nice mix of Chinese and western choices.

Google needs to allow updates in China. This whole area is messed up, and I think this hotel may have turned into a “base hotel”? It's really upsetting that APPLE MAPS works better here in Shanghai than Google, which says a lot given how awful Apple Maps is.

I had a great stay, and I thought the breakfast was sensational. It may not be very close to the city centre, but the subway isn't far away.

Getting here is easy by bus or subway, and the hotel is near People's Square. There aren't many shops in the area, though, just Joy City shopping mall.
